The CS-2 assembles around the head of an exposed rail using five bolts and a rear-driven wedge. It can serve as a chock or a low-speed stopping device for light-duty sidings, and must always be installed as a pair.

Features and application limits

  • For 1–2 cars on a light-duty side track; maximum contact speed 1–2 mph.
  • For wheel diameters 28–40 in. only.
  • Height above rail: 15 in.; product weight: 107 lb.
  • Retighten bolts periodically and drive the wedge tight again if it loosens.
  • Ask for an application review before ordering for rail encased in pavement.
