The CB6-A uses wedge-driven clamps to grip the rail head for temporary blocking of a stationary railcar. A padlock can be used to secure the block.
Features and application limits
- For exposed rail, 60–104 lb/yd.
- Product weight: 45 lb.
- Use only on level track, after the car is fully stopped and its brakes applied.
- Use at least two blocks per car, one at each end.
- Not for impact stopping, stopping a moving car, or overhead crane service.
- Drive the wedge firmly into the frame and check its tightness frequently. Keep rails free of oil and grease.
