The Nine Lives Wheel Wedge replaces disposable wood wedges when chocking idle cars on storage tracks. With the car stationary and its brake set, the wedge fits beneath the wheel. Aldon describes the material as suitable for repeated roll-over removal, avoiding the need to reach down to pull out a trapped wedge.
Features and application limits
- For level exposed or flush rail only, without working vibration.
- Do not use during loading, unloading or work on the car; use steel wheel chocks for those applications.
- All wheels must remain on the rails. Do not use when an end of the car is raised.
- Use only on a clean rail surface; oil and grease can allow the wedge to slip.
