Aldon’s SPARK-PROOF urethane double chock is designed for freight-car and locomotive applications where a non-sparking chocking material is needed. The resilient urethane compresses and recovers its shape, resists many chemicals, and uses transverse ribs to displace water and dirt at the rail contact.

Features and application limits

• Wheel diameter range: 26–48 in.
• Handle length: 24 in.
• Select the exposed-rail or flush-rail model; the configurations are not interchangeable.
• Product weight: 10 lb.; height above rail: 4 in.
• Flush-rail handles stand 1-1/2 in. above the pavement.
• The family instructions list rails 90–155 lb/yd. Confirm the selected configuration and rail section.
• Use on level, clean rail only; no grades or oily/greasy rail. Stop the vehicle and apply brakes before installation.
• Chock both ends. Do not use with one end of the car or locomotive raised. Replace urethane that is cracked or torn.
• Aldon permits controlled pull-over removal for this product design; use only under the manufacturer’s instructions and facility procedure.
