A urethane stopper for controlled positioning of a freight car that is already moving at a creep. Repeated placement in front of the wheel absorbs a portion of the movement each time; the wedge holds the wheel briefly while a steel chock is put in place. It can help position cars moved by a car puller at scales, loading points or repair shops.
Features and application limits
- Product weight: 6 lb.
- Use only on level track; never use this product to stop a runaway car.
- Provide another effective way to stop the car if the wedge does not stop it. Keep the wedge squarely on the rail and remain clear of the car.
- Once stopped, apply the brake and install steel chocks at both ends. The rail must be clean and free of oil or grease.
